Message from the new president of PAP to the members

Dear colleagues,

It is with great honor that I assume the Presidency of the Pancyprian Association for Psychotherapists. I thank you warmly for your trust, which for me translates into responsibility, consistency and commitment to collective effort and substantial progress.

Our Association has traveled a significant and creative path in recent years, taking substantial steps that have strengthened our institutional presence and the voice of psychotherapy professionals in Cyprus.

On this basis, we are called today to continue even more dynamically, with unity and clear goals.

Our central priority remains the institutionalization and consolidation of psychotherapy in Cyprus. The regulation of our profession does not only concern us as professionals - it primarily concerns the protection of citizens, ensuring the quality of services and strengthening the credibility of the mental health field. We will work consistently to promote a modern and functional legal framework.

At the same time, our goal is to strengthen the Association itself: to enhance member participation, develop training opportunities, foster dialogue and cooperation, and maintain high professional standards.

I deeply believe that our strength lies in our collectiveness. The Association is not the Board of Directors - it is all its members. I therefore invite you to participate actively, to submit ideas, to contribute with your knowledge and experience. Together we can strengthen the role of psychotherapy and shape the future of our profession.
